Moving day

It was moving day in Madison the last couple of days. The two days a year where 95% of the undergraduate population at the University gets up and moves. It's total mayhem, and the wake of trash they leave behind is something to behold.

I never saw anything like this when I was an undergrad in Boston. In fact, moving was quite rare for me. I tried to stay in one place whenever possible. I would think the student here would be especially motivated to stay put here in Madison.

In fact, I would think the landlords would be motivated to sign leases at different times of the year to avoid the huge mess.
