Eighty year-old furniture has extinction in its future when it's introduced to toddlers out in the wild of the home. After a nice little elbow swing this week, one of the legs finally snapped under the fifty pound load. I'm just surprised that it took nine years before it buckled under the relentless strain of swings, leans, bumps and jumps. Thankfully, it was a clean break, and we got it glued back into shape quickly. Maybe the extra screw will give it another eighty years of life!
